Hello everybody, my name is Shaun and welcome to my website!

To start off, I have been creating YouTube content for 5 years, covering a variety of subjects including reactions; vlogs; and topic specific videos (Mental Health Awareness and even video podcasts) – Check out “Video Work” for more

With developing videography techniques, I began my studies at Fife College, Stenton Campus in Glenrothes, Fife as part of the NC Broadcast Media following with 2 year studies on the HNC/HND Radio course.
Throughout my earlier studies, I continued increasing my creative techniques and applying these within my visual and audio content. I then continued my studies at the University of Sunderland as part of the BA Hons Media Production course and moving onto a further course in which I am currently studying, MA Radio, Audio and Podcasting.

Then onto beginning my music career in 2018, I started recording and producing my own tracks under the name SBiT before moving to SHAVN in 2021. I mainly focus on Hip-Hop and R&B styles with my lyrics and instrumentals, I released a string of singles between 2019 and 2020 including ‘Back to Life’‘Overkill’ and ‘It’s Finally Over‘, I then started taking my music seriously in 2020/2021 with my first EP ‘Initiation’ which seemed to be more popular, especially the specific tracks ‘Sinister’, ‘Spittin,’ and ‘Everytime’.

I am currently in the process of creating my debut album – Coming Soon (Check “Music” for more).
I have previously explored themes of personal grief, loss, disappointment and anger; it is identifiable that myself as an artist, I like to explore and analyse lyrical structures and storytelling to foreshadow my own comprehension of life.

In 2021, I collaborated with 3 fellow students of University of Sunderland, I have contributed to the creation of newly launched podcast ‘St. Bedes Tales’; highlighting conflicting student experiences, relatable conversation topics, and the blossoming of the friend group.

With my experiences within the university, this has led me to become more involved in the community station Spark within the university grounds, I am now the “Music Researcher and Reporter” on the Friday Morning Breakfast show with Daniel Russell, Dominic Brown and Josh Taylor.
